lion pencil animation

I did this last year as my final project for my Art Foundation Course. I wanted to have a go at a pencil animation after finding and falling in love with the website www.penciltestdepot.com which posts beautiful pencil tests from Disney and other animators. It took a lot of research and mini flip-books, but as my first go i'm quite pleased with it. He is drawn after my local lion at bristol zoo. :)
p.s. he changes size quite dramatically in the middle...oops..

serial work upload!

(Click on pictures for larger images)
These were for a visual studies project with the theme 'Line'. Stencils cut with a scalpel knife and inked with Parker Quink...

These were for a location drawing project with the theme 'Food'....
[orange juice] :)

These were for another visual studies project themed 'Layers'...

And finally this one was also done during the 'Layers' project, but is slipping into our Illustrated Book project. Drawing scanned into photoshop and watercolour swatches scanned into photoshop and put together.
The story is about a little boy and his Dad playing around before bedtime (using the text of Colonel Fazackerley Butterworth-Toast by Charles Causely).
